The ‘Buzz’ Factor
One of the greatest strengths for any organization is the ‘buzz’ factor. It’s when people are talking about you during breaks, ball games, and “around town.” Five years ago as we were preparing to launch Rock Bridge our core group did a PHENOMENAL job of telling people about RBCC and generating buzz and excitement. To this day our church continues to share this excitement with others and invite people to ‘come and see’ what Jesus is doing in and through our church. I believe the ‘buzz’ factor is an ESSENTIAL ingredient to a growing church.
The neat thing is that as we are preparing to launch Rock Bridge Calhoun, we are hearing this ‘buzz’ occur in BOTH Calhoun and Dalton!! Our Campus Pastor (Carll Converse) is doing a great job leading the launch team and building relationships in the Calhoun community. It is so exciting to sense the momentum building toward a total ‘God’ thing in Calhoun. It is AWESOME to be one church in two locations!!
- PRAY for Carll, the launch team, and the people in Calhoun!!
- TELL others you know in the Calhoun area that Rock Bridge is coming.  {The experience in Calhoun will be VERY similar to the experience in Dalton with the one major exception being the facility.}
- SERVE
- In Calhoun: get ready … we’re going to need everyone to contribute as we get closer to launch!
- In Dalton: be available … many of you have asked about helping out. We’ll be asking for people to help serve in Calhoun the launch date (currently TBD) approaches. This is a great opportunity to be a ‘missionary’ of sorts in our own NW Georgia community!!
- BE KINGDOM MINDED: our ‘buzz’ is all about Jesus and His Bride (the church). Going multi-site has everything to do with spreading the Gospel. We are not marketing ‘Rock Bridge’  … we are promoting and advancing the Kingdom of God (period) through the local church as God intended. God is interested in the growth and expansion of His mission (Acts 1:8), and His chosen and ordained ‘growth’ agent is the local church. And for us at Rock Bridge, we now have 2 expressions (or 2 locations) to further the Gospel and the Kingdom!! AWESOME!!
