Well, it’s official … Rock Bridge is now one church in two locations!! We kicked off Rock Bridge Calhoun today and I can hardly imagine the launch going any better (>300 in attendance). I saw firsthand the value of being a multi-site church, especially in terms of shared resources, volunteer support, past experience, and (most importantly) the power of a shared, compelling vision!
Back in Dalton, John McIntosh knocked it out of the park talking about the enemies of godly families.  The “Leave It to Beaver” video was AWESOME!! (This message will hit Calhoun in a few weeks … stay tuned!).
Lots of random stuff in my mind right now so here’s a Sunday afternoon mind dump:
- I believe more people can be reached and impacted for Christ quicker through the multi-site approach.
- The Children’s area in Calhoun rocked today!!
- I loved seeing all the Rock Bridge Dalton people serving in Calhoun and bringing their own friends/families who live in Gordon County.
- Next week, we start sharing the message at our two campuses through video technology (I’m excited to be in two places at once!)
- Even though today’s launch went great, we still want to improve our environments so that nothing stands in the way of what God wants to do.
- Few things can trumph the power of vision, especially a God-given one … not even geography!
- Carll Converse and the launch team at Calhoun have done a great job getting ready for what happened today … now we do it again in <7 days!!
- Last night’s UGA game was incredible — Go Dawgs!!
- I love church and new methods of sharing a timeless message!!!!
- Psalm 20:7 is really speaking to me right now.
