Volunteers
In our church our volunteers drive so much of what happens. Simply put they ‘git r’ done’ week in and week out. As a church staff, I believe one of our most sacred, strategic and important tasks is to bless these volunteers. God set churches up to be “built up” by servant/volunteers who have been “equipped” by ministers. (Check this passage out!) Here are some things I want for every volunteer who contributes at Rock Bridge:
1)Â To know they are accomplishing a mission, not just meeting a need.
2)Â To say, “I can’t believe I get to do this for God!”
3)Â To be confident in what they are doing so that they can be focused on who they are doing it for.
4)Â Â To grow spiritually through by serving and understand the significance of service as Jesus mentioned here.Â
5)Â To have fun!!
